Welcome to the Dallas Tough Cookies page!
About our team
The Dallas Tough Cookies offer a supportive and fun environment for women to get together and grow as cyclists and multi-sport athletes. Our goal with Tough Cookies is always to foster an encouraging and safe atmosphere for riders as each person works on improving their own individual skill level. The Dallas Tough Cookies offer a minimum of two rides per month and ride more frequently when training for longer events such as the MS150, Tour De Cure or other rallies. We offer triathlon training in the summer and 15K run training each winter in preparation for the Hot Chocolate Run held in February. We have Holiday co-ed rides and social events throughout the year including a summer pool party and our Holiday Cookie Ride. Our club is registered with RRCA, USAT and the American Bicycle League. The ride schedule can be found on our dedicated yahoo group.
Meet the coach
Beverly Kohrs enjoys the camaraderie of training with other women. She founded the Dallas chapter of the Tough Cookies four years ago to have a safe, motivating and fun place to train with her teenage daughters, who are now college triathletes. Although her first love is cycling, Beverly has completed numerous running races from the 5K to the marathon and is a competitive age group triathlete. She is a certified Level III USA Cycling Coach and is passionate about promoting women of all ages to achieve their fitness goals. She is married and the proud mom of three kids. She enjoys reading, sewing and traveling to tennis tournaments with her son.
